Retro Bowling

Yesterday I told some friends to make reservations at a bowling alley so we can get together and have a bowling night.  Before I knew it, I was walking in to a VERY outdated bowling alley.  It was very quaint, simple, and cute.  So cool that I had to share :).  Seeing the paper scoring was the best! (I've never even seen it before) But it turned out to be one of the funnest times I've bowled!


I forgot my camera at home, so the pics from my phone aren't the greatest quality, but they go with the whole retro theme I guess




and they sold CHICKLETS!


Most of the time, the bowling balls got stuck on their way back...



The funnest part was paper scoring!  Using rusty math skills and making tiny mistakes actually made the game a ton more exciting!

(Oh, and that highest score was without a doubt MINE)
.....just kidding it wasn't :(

At the end, the owner gave us free game passes so we can come back, I'd definitely go again!

I Heart Valentine's Day

Happy (late) Valentine's Day!! As  cliché   , overdone, and cheesy this love day may be, I have to admit- I'm a huge sucker for Valentine's Day!  For Vday, I always like to make a special dinner, that I don't make very often- yesterday I made mussels!!!  Mussels are one of my favorite sea foods- so I made a mussel pasta, and it turned out oh so yummy! The first thing I did was boil the mussels for about 7 minutes.  Then, I boiled a handful of thin spaghetti- in the mean time, I heated 1/2 cup of olive oil in a pot.  I then put one petitely diced onion into the oil, and waited for it to turn golden.  Soon after, I added 2 tablespoons of fresh minced garlic.  Then, I added 3 diced tomatoes, 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, and about 1/2 cup of chopped cilantro (parsley would taste amazing with it too).  I flavored it with some salt, onion powder, and a little bit of fresh basil.  Then I mixed everything together, and brought them to a simmer.  I then added the boil
